January 27 – Shareholders of HK Motors’ parent company, Far East Golden Resources, met yesterday in Hong Kong and unanimously approved proposals for the company to raise funds for the HK Motors plant in Alabama and to change the parent company’s name to Hybrid Kinetic Group Ltd.

January 22 – HK Motors made two major announcements this week:

On Tuesday, January 19^th, Chairman Yung Yeung signed a design and engineering agreement with renowned automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro.  At the event co-hosted with Alabama Governor Bob Riley and several county and state government representatives, Yeung and Giugiaro unveiled HK’s first concept car, the Quaranta. Two days later, Chief Executive Officer CT Wang traveled to Baldwin County, Alabama, to report to local residents on HK’s recent progress and unveil yet another concept vehicle, a Luxury Utility Vehicle (LUV) designed by EDAG of Germany. Read and see more.
